Our Staff
Joy Emshoff, owner, has paddled over 15 years in Texas and many of the Southeastern states. She is both a United States Canoe Association and American Canoe Association canoe and kayak instructor. She has paddled recreationally and has raced competitively in the Texas Water Safari, and state and national competition. She is both a TCKRA State Champion and a USCA National Mixed Canoe Champion. When not paddling, she spends time in her workshop in Austin, Tx creating new designs and artwork.
Bob Spain, paddling specialist, has paddled over 25 years in Texas and 24 other states. He has served as Board member or delegate for both the United States Canoe Association and Texas Canoe and Kayak Association. He helped design and coordinate the Coastal Paddling Trails Program for the State of Texas and directed races for both State and National Marathon Canoe Championships. He is a USCA Instructor Trainer and ACA instructor. He has raced conpetitively across the country and is a State and National Canoe Champion. While paddling is his first love, he also makes cedar furniture in his spare time in Austin, Tx.

Our rates are as follows:
Private lesson $30/hr
Private lesson (boat provided) $40/hr
Semi-private lesson $25/hr/per person
Semi-private lesson (boats provided) $35/hr/per person
Group of 6 or less $20/hr/per person
Group of 6 or less (boats provided) to be determined
